PART ONE: THE AMAZON NATION

Part One deals specifically with a reconstruction of the culture, geography, and some of the history of the Amazon Nation. The information used in this section comes from many sources, from painted and sculpted images to oral traditions eventually compiled and written by a variety of ancient authors. Over the past fifteen years, more archaeological work and more translations of Russian archaeological papers have provided intriguing new information on the nomadic peoples of Central Asia. Among them were and are classes of women culturally analogous to Amazons in all but their apparent associations with men.
